NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, October 28

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Jake Guentzel – His whole line is pretty cheap and correlates well together, and at home versus Ottawa is a good matchup. They both allow a lot of goals and take a lot of penalties, which is especially great for the Penguins’ top powerplay.

TastefulTides: Jake Guentzel – Guentzel is very affordable on both FD and DK. The Penguins also have the highest implied team total on the slate. He hasn’t done much in terms of goal scoring so far this season, but he still has been very productive. The Senators’ blue line is decimated with injuries, so the Penguins top 6 should be in line for a big game.

Joda: Auston Matthews – With a diluted set of stars available on this slate, Matthews is a clear cut above every other center. While he has been relatively quiet over the past week, the floor and ceiling at the position is paramount.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
