NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, April 4

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Matthew Tkachuk – Coming off an illness and with plenty of other options on this slate, I am willing to take a shot on Matthew Tkachuk in this matchup. Florida has the 5th-ranked power play, while the Senators have the 29th-ranked penalty kill. Tkachuk plays over 80% of the team’s total power-play time so he will get his chances to produce. The Senators are also horrible defensively at 5v5, allowing the 4th-most goals. The Panthers can still possibly catch Boston in the Atlantic Division, so they should come into this game razor-focused and ready to dominate a vastly inferior opponent.

ezellmt: Filip Forsberg – Forsberg has been a staple in this section for a while, but I think it’s another night where his ownership won’t be too crazy. He is always a threat for the 5+ SOG bonus and multiple points. In two meetings against the Blues this year, he has 3 goals, 2 assists, and 8 shots on goal, good for an average of 28+ DK points per game.

boggslite: Filip Forsberg – There are plenty of solid options to target, which should see ownership spread out. Forsberg and his linemates draw among the best matchups of the night at home against a weak Blues team.

What’s your hot take of the slate?
