NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, December 14

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Auston Matthews – The Maple Leafs are the only total above 4 tonight, and frankly, I am not surprised by that. After going through a stretch where he had 1 goal in 9 games, he has now had 7 goals in his last 4 games. The Blue Jackets are the 2nd-worst team in the NHL and have allowed the 4th-most goals this season. Matthews playing on home ice against this team should be a recipe for a big fantasy output.

ezellmt: Auston Matthews – Right now, Matthews’ projection is three points higher than the next closest skater thanks to a juicy matchup against the Blue Jackets at home. He’s coming off a monster four-point night on Tuesday, where he finished with 36 DK points. While it seems unlikely he’ll match that level of production, another multi-point night is very much in play. He’ll be chalky, but fade at your own risk.

boggslite: Auston Matthews – Fresh off a 4-point effort against a strong Rangers team in his last game, Matthews has 5 goals over his last 3 games. He should get plenty of opportunities to stay hot tonight facing the lowly Blue Jackets on home ice.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
