NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, February 29

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Matthew Tkachuk – After a slow start to the season, Matthew Tkachuk is finally starting to get puck luck and finding the back of the net. Montreal has one of the worst defenses in the NHL, ranking 5th-worst in goals against and have the 3rd-worst penalty kill. The Panthers are lethal with the 4th-best power play.

ezellmt: Kirill Kaprizov – Kaprizov is one of the hottest players in the game and shouldn’t see a ton of ownership in a neutral matchup against Nashville. He was held pointless against the Hurricanes, but prior to that, he had 12 points in the previous 4 games. In the two prior matchups against Nashville this season, he has a goal and 3 assists.

Joda: Sidney Crosby – Pittsburgh had a big come-from-behind win in Vancouver earlier this week, and Crosby recorded another multi-point effort (his 3rd in 6 games). With Matthews and MacKinnon certain to soak up a chunk of ownership at center, Crosby will go overlooked. His linemates also are cheap and have upside.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
