NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, March 7

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Roman Josi – The Predators finally ended their winning streak, but I think this is a matchup where they can easily begin another one. The Sabres are on the second half of a road back-to-back after a tough loss to the Maple Leafs in overtime. With all of the high-end forwards to play for, I don’t think many people will want to pay up at defense. I think Josi comes out aggressively in this matchup after his dud at high ownership in his last game.

ezellmt: Kirill Kaprizov – Kaprizov will get lost in the shuffle tonight, but he has almost as much upside as anyone. This upside was on full display in his last game, where he had a hat trick and the 5+ SOG bonus, good for 42 DK points. That matchup was against the lowly Sharks, but this one is almost as good against a Coyotes team in freefall.

Joda: Kirill Kaprizov – Minnesota’s top line does not come at a discount anymore, and I fully expect Kaprizov, who just had a hat trick last game, to come in with low ownership. Since the start of the calendar year, Arizona has allowed a league-worst 3.96 goals per game.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
