NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, October 12

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Kirill Kaprizov – We don’t have nearly the amount of comfortable clicks that we did last night. Kaprizov has a very fair price on both DK and FD. The Panthers were bottom 10 on the penalty kill and allowed the 9th-most high-danger attempts at even strength. This shouldn’t bode well with a road matchup against the Wild. Kaprizov has a very solid shot floor, and the Panthers defense is average at best.

ezellmt: Kirill Kaprizov – Last season, Kaprizov possessed some of the most extreme home/road splits of the elite tier of skaters. At home, he had 48 points in 39 games compared to just 28 in 34 games on the road. On DK, this led to him averaging 5.4 more points per contest at the Xcel Energy Center. The matchup with Florida isn’t one I’m afraid of, as I expect them to give up plenty of goals this season in high-scoring games.

boggslite: Kirill Kaprizov – He draws a great matchup at home in a game that should play up-tempo and faces a FLA team that is missing some key defensemen and could be exploited on the penalty kill this season.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
