NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, October 19

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?

TastefulTides: Auston Matthews – With a slate loaded with talent at the high end, there are absolutely different ways you can go about selecting the top overall play. I still think that Matthews has the best floor / ceiling combination on the slate and comes at a discount from both MacKinnon and McDavid. The Panthers play an up-tempo style of play, so I expect they will give up a good amount of high-danger chances. Bobrovsky should have his hands full keeping this loaded Toronto team out of the net.

ezellmt: Nathan MacKinnon – It’s hard to separate the options at the top as all are in good matchups, but I think MacKinnon is the best combination of floor and ceiling tonight. He has a tremendously high shot floor and also is a candidate for multiple assists and the three point bonus every night. The home matchup against the Blackhawks is the best on the slate.

boggslite: Nathan MacKinnon – On a loaded slate with plenty of quality options, MacKinnon stands out for me on home ice against a weak Chicago team that has overperformed early this season. He won’t be cheap, but he should have no problems getting involved in a game Colorado should dominate from start to finish.

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
