NHL DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, February 27

Who is your favorite contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Moneyball16: Reilly Smith – The Penguins’ wing depth is severely depleted. Jake Guentzel has been out for a few games now, and Bryan Rust got hurt last game and has already been announced out for this one. Smith practiced on the top line with Sidney Crosby on Monday and should get significant 5v5 minutes. He has a chance to take Rust’s spot on the top power-play unit as well. Ignore Smith’s mediocre recent minutes and results; playing with Crosby should help him out with both of those things.

ezellmt: Kirill Kaprizov – The matchup is scary, but the upside is tantalizing. Kaprizov is one of the hottest players in the game and has 12 points in his last 4 games. In his only other game against the Hurricanes this year, he had a hat trick with 5 shots on goal.

Joda: Kyle Connor – He seems like someone who could get lost in the shuffle with MacKinnon, Matthews, and Hughes on the slate. There is an abundance of value at the wing position tonight, which could make spending up contrarian. St. Louis is a very volatile team, and Kyle has 3 goals and 6 assists in his last 5 games.

Who is your top overall play (when considering price, matchup, roster construction, etc.) on the board and why?
