Slate Overview
Random advice of the night. I’ve mentioned it every month or so and will continue to do so. It’s a very long DFS season. Don’t be afraid to take a day or two off for your mental health, especially if you’re on a bit of a losing streak. I promise, it’ll still be here when you get back and it’ll take about 10 minutes to get up to speed on anything you missed. Alright, back to your regularly scheduled programming. We have a tidy six-gamer on our hands this evening. The Stars and Lightning meet again, just two days after the Stars drubbed them 8-1 in Dallas. Five of the six games are near pick’ems while the Golden Knights are the biggest favorite of the night at around -200. I think Vegas will definitely garner the most ownership, but I’m not sure it’ll be proportional to how favorited they are. There aren’t really too many injuries of note, as most of the players out were already on IR.
Top Skaters
Jack Eichel
DraftKings $8,200
Eichel seems to be one of the streakier superstars in the NHL and he’s currently in the midst of one of his hot streaks. He has back-to-back three-point games against the Canucks and Capitals. The team tinkered with lines several games ago and the results have been excellent. I’ll save the detailed analysis of that for below (spoiler alert for a stack). He’s one of only three players above $8k and one of seven above $7.5k. Of those, he has by far the best matchup against a hot-and-cold Blues team. He has a goal-scoring prop of +125, although honestly I think that’s too low. His ownership should be high, but I’ll be strongly considering eating the chalk tonight.
