NHL Slate Summary: Saturday, March 7th

Each Tuesday Thursday and Saturday a daily fantasy hockey analyst will overview the upcoming daily fantasy hockey slate picking out the most favorable spots to attack. NOTE: This article will primarily focus on FanDuel and DraftKings NHL DFS contests.

Slate Size: It’s a bit smaller slate than a typical Saturday, with just six games on the Main Slate with the first picks dropping at 7PM ET (in fact, five of the six games get underway at that time).

B2B Situations: The New Jersey Devils are the only team in action today that also played last night.

The Philadelphia Flyers are arguably the top story of the NHL at the moment. They’ve been absolutely terrific down the stretch and have ridden an eight-game winning streak to pull even with the Washington Capitals for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division. Since the All-Star break, the Flyers own a 13-3-0 record while averaging an NHL best 4.18 goals per game in the process. Add in the fact that they’ve posted a 24-5-4 record at the Wells Fargo Center this season, and the outlook appears quite bleak for the visiting Buffalo Sabres. Oh, and Carter Hart also happens to own absolutely mind-blowing numbers on home ice, posting a 19-2-2 record to go along with a 1.64 GAA and .942 SV% in 23 home starts.
