NHL Slate Summary: Tuesday, February 4th

Each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, a daily fantasy hockey analyst will overview the upcoming daily fantasy hockey slate, picking out the most favorable spots to attack. NOTE: This article will primarily focus on FanDuel and DraftKings NHL DFS contests.

Tuesday, February 4th

With all teams off their bye weeks now, we get right back into the thick of things with a massive slate tonight. There are 13 games with just two teams — the Dallas Stars and Florida Panthers — on the tail-end of a back-to-back which makes this slate quite the interesting one with so many rested teams.

General Observations

The Boston Bruins remain atop the Atlantic Division, though the red-hot Tampa Bay Lightning have certainly closed that gap after an extremely slow start. After a ridiculous start to the season, David Pastrnak has slowed down a bit. Slowing down for Pastrnak, though, has resulted in 9 goals and 16 points in the 12 games since January 1st. The Bruins host the Vancouver Canucks tonight as the two teams have matching 7-2-1 records over their last 10 games.
