Tampa Bay Lightning at Toronto Maple Leafs

If the Toronto Maple Leafs make the playoffs, this is most likely matchup in the first round. The teams have played twice in the regular season this year, a 7-3 Tampa Bay thrashing from the beginning of the season and a 4-3 Maple Leafs win from just a couple weeks ago.

With the Leafs stumbling through California and the Florida Panthers winning two straight, suddenly what looked like the Leafs pulling away has become quite the race for third in the Atlantic division once again. This is yet another example of the Leafs needing to show what they can do against a banged up Lightning team that is without Steven Stamkos. While the Leafs are also dealing with their fair share of injuries — most of which will be back for the playoffs — they need to win these tough games and actually get IN to the playoffs.
