What is going on Grinders?! NFL Season is always exciting, and this year we are bringing you a weekly article to cover the unique GPP format over at No House Advantage! Of course, because of my love for props, I’ll be bringing the heat every week to try and help you guys take down some big money over there. As NFL props become more popular, we are seeing some very unique contests and No House Advantage is just that!
No House Advantage GPP Format
No House Advantage has a GPP contest that allows you to pick 10 different players. Each prop will represent a number of points, starting at 1 point and sequentially up to 10 points. Thus, the 10 players you select are critical to your success. The idea is to select the prop that will give you 10 points as the one you feel best about. The prop that will give you 1 point might be one you feel good about as well, but make sure for 10 points it’s your “lock button”, so to speak. So ultimately, Player 1 will give you 1 point, Player 2 will give you 2 points, Player 3 will give you 3 points, etc. I think you get the idea here.
No House Advantage has given us some really good GPP contests this week. This format is fantastic for those of you that love props as much as I do, because we get to merge the DFS concept with our love for props. It’s the best of both worlds if you ask me.
Each week I am hoping to put you on a few plays that should yield tremendous success and put you in a position to take down 1st place. Let’s dig in!
Key Selections for the AFC/NFC Championship
I’m going to provide you with my three favorite picks for your 10, 9, and 8 point slots. This week we are covering the Sunday Conference Championship slate. You are going to see a theme here with this one, but I think it’s the correct angle.
10 Point Slot: Patrick Mahomes – 275.5 Passing Yards
Mahomes had what looked to be a nasty ankle injury in last week’s game versus the Jaguars. He was able to complete the game in the 2nd half, but was noticeable limping for the 3rd and 4th quarters. I think he will be hampered slightly in the mobility department and for that reason I think taking the over on passing yards is advantageous for us. He will need to rely on the creativity of his arm and will be trying to stay out of harms way for most of the game. I’m looking for him to push the ball down the field in this one if they want to emerge triumphant against the Bengals.
Pick: Over 275.5 Passing Yards
9 Point Slot: Joe Burrow – 275.5 Passing Yards
I don’t know if anyone reading this is into Western movies, but this game between Burrow and Mahomes fields like a good ole’ fashioned shootout. I think Joey Bengals (as we call him on the Food for Thought Podcast) will be locked and loaded. We’ve seen him throw for at least 400 in 1 of his 2 appearances against this team and I think he throws for at least 300 here and I’m riding this thing to the money.
Pick: Over 275.5 Passing Yards
8 Point Slot: Joe Mixon – 58.5 Rushing Yards
I expect plenty of passing in this game, but I also think Mixon is going to pick his up with the ground game as well. He has enough volume, and Kansas City won’t be able to run away with the score against the Bengals. In fact, I expect the Bengals to be ahead for most of this game which will allow the ground game to stay on schedule. This is a great game to target overall and Mixon should be a nice part of the gameplan.
Pick: Over 58.5 Rushing Yards
Closing Thoughts
My hope is that this article gives you a better chance to be in the winner’s circle every week for the contests you enter. We are hoping that we see competent coaching this week and they call plays like they should to carry us to the finished line. Let’s Win!
