I will update this section if there are any injuries that impact the slate or if I have anything to add that wasn’t included in the breakdown below.
Week 15
Happy Week 15 and happy week before Christmas everyone!
I will be writing this article on my way to New Orleans for the DraftKings Fantasy Football Championship. I wish I would have qualified myself, but the next best thing is to be invited out as a guest. I have never been to a live final without being a participant, so it’ll be nice to enjoy all of the festivities without feeling a big knot in my stomach the entire time. There’s life-changing money for grabs at these events and that’s not a feeling that you ever get used to. If anyone happens to be out there at the event, please come say hello. I’d love to have a drink and talk some football with any of you.
I am going to skip the recap of last week because you don’t need to hear me vent about bubbling in tournaments for the second straight week.
Quarterback
Tier 1 (Expert Plays)
Justin Herbert: $7,200 DraftKings / $8,300 FanDuel
Jalen Hurts: $8,200 DraftKings / $9,000 FanDuel
Quarterback isn’t as straightforward as usual, as there aren’t any truly obvious plays at the position. You could argue that Herbert is a tad overpriced, but the matchup and the overall game environment more than make up for it. The Titans might be the biggest pass-funnel matchup in the league, ranking 28th in DVOA against the pass and first in DVOA against the run. Herbert has all of his weapons back at full strength and the defense is no stranger to giving up points. You can build game stacks or you can do skinny stacks with Herbert.
