Sunday Morning Updates
This section will be updated with thoughts and injury news through lineup lock.
Week 11
It was another simple week of DFS — load up on Justin Fields and take the chance with Tony Pollard after discouraging reports on the availability of Ezekiel Elliott. I had Fields tagged as my favorite quarterback play of the slate and in the updates section above, I noted that Pollard was a late tag on Sunday morning. This move was huge for my lineups, as I ended up going away from Derrick Henry, who was one of the biggest busts of the week. Combine the Fields and Pollard plays with Amon-Ra St. Brown and the cheap receivers that I mentioned (George Pickens, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Zay Jones) and it was easily one of my best weeks of the season.
The purpose of the introduction isn’t to brag about the good weeks, it’s to be accountable for the plays that I recommending each slate. And if you have been a weekly reader, you know that I will come on here and eat crow after the bad weeks. Everyone in the industry loves to be forward-thinking, but we shouldn’t ignore what has happened in prior weeks. I hope last week’s slate was good to many of you and I hope to keep our momentum going this week. One final note — Thanksgiving is next week, so I plan to have two full positional breakdown articles, one for the turkey slate and one for the main slate.
