Slate Updates
I will update this section if there are any injuries that impact the slate or if I have anything to add that wasn’t included in the breakdown below.
Week 16 – Saturday Main Slate
Similar to last week, there will be two separate positional breakdown articles for the Saturday and Sunday slates. With all of the Christmas expenses and festivities, we could all use a little DFS stocking stuffer. As always, we’ll break down each position and look for the top overall plays and some potential leverage spots. The big story of the week is the awful weather expected around the league. We are going to have frigid temperatures in most of the games and many feature 20+ MPH winds as well. A quick look at the totals says everything you need to know about the slate. This will naturally concentrate ownership around a couple of games. This is a good week to bookmark the NFL Weather page and to keep a close eye on Kevin Roth’s Twitter.

Quarterback
Tier 1 (Expert Plays)
Daniel Jones: $5,600 DraftKings / $7,400 FanDuel
Gardner Minshew: $4,800 DraftKings / $6,100 FanDuel
The common build this week will be to pay down at quarterback and I’ll likely join in on the fun in my main lineups on DraftKings and FanDuel. There are a number of good expensive running backs and wide receivers that I’d like to prioritize, so saving at quarterback certainly helps in that regard. Daniel Jones has been more consistent this season and is playing in one of the only games where we don’t have to worry about the weather. He makes a cheap stack with his wideouts and he draws an exploitable matchup against the Vikings, who are ranked 27th in DVOA against the pass and 28th in fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks this season.
