Week 8
It’s always an easier task to write this introduction after a good week of DFS. While I had some duds sprinkled throughout my lineups, I had enough exposure to Joe Burrow, Kenneth Walker, and Josh Jacobs to put me over the edge in terms of making a profit. The two things that kept me from having a really big week were both in the same game — I played Tee Higgins over Ja’Marr Chase and I forced myself into a bring-back from the Falcons. After they were down by double-digits early in the game, I thought this was finally the week Kyle Pitts would get peppered with targets. Arthur Smith had other plans, as he often does. He continued to run the ball even when the Falcons were down 20+ points in the second half.
I feel like Bart Simpson writing on the chalk board.
“I will not roster Kyle Pitts.”
“I will not roster Kyle Pitts.”
“I will not roster Kyle Pitts.”
“I will not roster Kyle Pitts.”
Somehow, someway, he will end up being my favorite tight end by Sunday morning. Kidding aside, it’s nice to have a couple weeks in a row in the green and nice to have the featured plays in this article perform well.
We now turn our attention to Week 8. It’s hard to believe that the season is almost half over, but that’s why we love the NFL so much. It goes by in the blink of an eye and we get to miss it for the next eight months. It’s an exciting time to a sports fan. The World Series starts Friday night, the NBA is in full swing, the NHL is back in our lives, and obviously we have great football games at the college and professional level. It’s easy to spread yourself a little too thin by playing DFS and/or betting on all of the sports, so try to streamline your process as much as possible. Hopefully this article can help in that regard, at least for one sport.
Quarterback
The Colts have already decided to move on from Matt Ryan. It’s not an outrageous move given the struggles that he’s had, but they are still fighting for the division in the AFC South. The sites weren’t prepared for this decision and thusly, have Sam Ehlinger priced at the stone minimum. We have to ask ourselves two questions when it comes to Ehlinger this week — do we want to take the risk on an unproven quarterback and if so, do we need to stack a receiver with him in tournaments?
