Notorious' NFL DFS Core Plays: Thanksgiving Slate
First of all, Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Even though this year is quite different than most, it’s still an important time to give thanks and to spend time with the ones you love (even if you have to do it unconventionally). While we still have an NFL slate to look forward to, the league decided to postpone the Ravens/Steelers game until Sunday. This is somewhat of an inconsistent move, as a number of teams have had to play short-handed after having COVID outbreaks. Even though it was my least favorite game of the slate, having it postponed is still a bummer. There are still ways to be different, but ownership is going to further concentrate on the best plays.
While late swap isn’t quite as valuable with only two games, there are two notes that I wanted to make. First, make sure your latest starting player is in your FLEX roster spot. This seems obvious, but you’d be surprised how many people forget this each and every week. It keeps your options open if you are looking to late swap. You can use late swap a number of different ways, but I generally look to swap off chalky players when my team gets off to a poor start. The pivots may pay off one out of every five tries, but that more than makes it worthwhile. With only two games on this slate, you’ll have a good idea where you stand after the first game ends.
