Notorious' NFL DFS Core Plays: Week 6
It wasn’t the worst week for the core plays, but I ended up going right back to the bad chalk late in the week. At the very least, know that I can relate to making bad lineup decisions even though I have been doing this for the last 10 years. Olamide Zaccheaus became the extreme chalk on DraftKings and felt like a free square for cash games and single-entry tournaments. The Falcons were playing at home against the Panthers and he was coming off of a strong second half against the Packers the previous week. Good plays don’t always pan out and Zaccheus did run a route on every Matt Ryan dropback, but he was a good fade in tournaments once he became that popular. The same can be said for Adam Trautman of the Saints in Week 4.
My goal this week is to simply target the best plays at their respective price points. It seems easy enough, but we all second guess ourselves as we get closer and closer to lineup lock. It’s also important to keep in mind the contests that you are entering. If you build one main lineup like myself, you shouldn’t be entering it in cash games, single-entry GPPs, and large-field GPPs. There are different strategies that work for each type of contest. I will always enter my main lineup into small tournaments, but putting it into contests where others can play 150 lineups is unlikely to be profitable in the long run.
