Notorious' NFL DFS Picks - Core Plays: Week 3
Want to know who you should build your NFL DFS lineups around each week? Derek “Notorious” Farnsworth, one of the most legendary daily fantasy sports players around, will focus on his core picks in this weekly in-depth feature for Premium subscribers.
Week 3
Week 2 wasn’t great for the core plays, but it wasn’t great for most of the consensus plays around the industry. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce saved my lineups from what would have been an awful week given all of the injuries and the fact that the Patriots outscored the next closest defense by 25 fantasy points. In hindsight, I should have been more cautious on Josh Jacobs. We hadn’t seen his workload in a game where the Raiders were going to be trailing and a lot of the second half work went to Jalen Richard. To make matters worse, Jacobs finished one yard shy of the 100 yard bonus on DraftKings. Alvin Kamara and Juju Smith-Schuster were two of the biggest disappointments of the week, but both of their quarterbacks were injured early in the game and both offenses failed to get much of anything going after that.
