Notorious' NFL DFS Picks - Core Plays: Week 3

Want to know who you should build your NFL DFS lineups around each week? Derek “Notorious” Farnsworth, one of the most legendary daily fantasy sports players around, will focus on his core picks in this weekly in-depth feature for Premium subscribers.

Week 3

Week 2 wasn’t great for the core plays, but it wasn’t great for most of the consensus plays around the industry. Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce saved my lineups from what would have been an awful week given all of the injuries and the fact that the Patriots outscored the next closest defense by 25 fantasy points. In hindsight, I should have been more cautious on Josh Jacobs. We hadn’t seen his workload in a game where the Raiders were going to be trailing and a lot of the second half work went to Jalen Richard. To make matters worse, Jacobs finished one yard shy of the 100 yard bonus on DraftKings. Alvin Kamara and Juju Smith-Schuster were two of the biggest disappointments of the week, but both of their quarterbacks were injured early in the game and both offenses failed to get much of anything going after that.

Sorry, suppose I could have worded it better. Those four quarterbacks that are on my radar for all formats, while I will only be looking to stack the Ravens and Chiefs in tournaments. Essentially, I’ll have exposure to all six this week.

    Big Week 3 ahead… Cheers!

Notorious what are your thoughts on Floor/Ceiling for D.J RB Ariz. did he fully recover from injury, BC game script looks favorable and salary on FD is 7K for flex.

You like any of Arizona or Denver pass catchers (E. Sanders out)

DJ is a very intriguing tournament option this week. Tough to run on Baltimore, so it wasn’t too surprising to see Arizona air it out last week. I do like both Cardinals receivers (Fitz and Kirk), as I’m obviously high on Kyler this week. As for Denver, I’m not seeing anything about Sanders being out. They might have a tough time moving the ball against Green Bay anyway.

Any thoughts on Dorsett being viable at low cost now that brown is out?

  • micanians2002

Do you think weather will have any effect on the passing for the Ravens game or Bengals game? Will that garner less long passes? Or is weather a low factor and we should still be all in for great offensive battles?

  • YAPPYKAPPY

With the weather situation in KC(sounds like a down poor is on its way) are you still stacking that game or pulling back a little or not so much?

Still like the stack for large-field tournaments (should have lower ownership), but will be avoiding the game in cash and single-entry GPPs.

Definitely in the player pool. Also added some Byrd on DraftKings.

With the value that’s opened up at RB and WR, looking to spend up at TE.
