Notorious/STLCards' PGA DFS Picks and Strategy: Ryder Cup
Hello, Grinders! We did not necessarily expect to be bringing you our full PGA content this week, but DraftKings and FanDuel have both surprised us offering contests for this week’s Ryder Cup competition.
This should be a ton of fun! Whistling Straits in Sheboygan, WI will be the host course. It’s a long, challenging layout that will generally benefit those who can hit it a long way off the tee. Let’s take a look at how things should shake out!
General Strategy
On DK, the scoring format will be similar to what DraftKings uses for “Showdown” slates in other sports, with a captain spot available which costs 1.5x salary and also earns 1.5x fantasy points. This will help to lower the amount of duplicate rosters. You may be familiar with this in golf as well, as DraftKings has started to do it with some single round golf slates. It adds a layer of strategy, which is never a bad thing in DFS, as it gives sharper players an edge.
