This article is intended to provide you with a few plays to help you build tournament-winning lineups on OwnersBox Fantasy Sports. I love being able to play new sites with new formats and am thrilled that we have a new site breaking into the salary cap space. It is my hope that from this content, we will have a few GPP-winning slips along the way. Thank you for joining me each week on the journey to 1st place!

OwnersBox MLB DFS Format

What is up, Grinders? We are here to talk about OwnersBox. This site is very creative for MLB, as it has given us what we’ve been craving for what feels like an eternity. We are getting incredible flexibility for all positions. It consists of a pitcher spot, 4 infield positions, 4 outfield positions, and a Superflex, which will allow you to play any position including pitching. How many days have you wanted to play 5 first-basemen because of how deep the position is? OwnersBox is here to give you that fix and allow very creative lineup building. This is revolutionary for the DFS enthusiast, and I am here to talk through a handful of plays each week that I hope carry us to the finish line.

Top MLB DFS Picks for April 24th

Ha-seong Kim – ($3,900)

I don’t typically target Coors field because I feel like its impact on most slates is overblown. However, I do like what we are seeing from Ha-Seong Kim versus left-handed pitching this season. He has the power numbers with an ISO of .231, a low K rate sitting at 11.8%, and a really nice walk rate at 17.6%. Ty Blach had an abysmal season last year to both sides of the plate, and I’m hoping Kim can get rolling in this incredible matchup tonight.

Kyle Tucker – ($5,700)

Kyle Tucker is once again looking like one of the best hitters on this Houston Astros team and in Major League Baseball. He gets to face Jameson Taillon tonight, and while I understand that this is great pitching weather, Tucker is just a professional hitter. He doesn’t have to hit home runs to put up big scores, and I think he has some RBI opportunities in this spot. Having Altuve and Alvarez ahead of him gives him huge RBI potential, and these guys will be hunting for contact. I think he’s able to drive in a couple of runs tonight.

Reynaldo Lopez – ($9,400)

I really like this spot for Mr. Lopez tonight. He is facing a Miami team that seems to be turning back into a pumpkin instead of turning a corner. His K-stuff has been there, and he’s been able to make it through a fair number of innings in his starts as well. With Strider gone, he will be a key piece of this rotation and will need to steadily improve game to game. I think this is one of those games that he could do really well in if he’s got good control. I love him for tournaments tonight.

This is a really good slate with a good balance of pitching and offense. I look forward to seeing you at the top of the leaderboards, friends!
