Pepsi7's NHL Core Plays: Monday, March 5th
Each day, one of our NHL experts will be providing recommended player picks for your daily fantasy hockey lineups. The goal is to help you build the optimal cash game (50/50s/double-ups/head-to-head) lineup.
Monday, March 5th
As we kick off yet another week in the National Hockey League, we have a typically quiet Monday evening on deck, with five games scheduled. The Dallas Stars, Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins are your biggest favorites, and none of the 10 teams hitting the ice are playing on consecutive nights.
GOALTENDER
NOTE: Make sure to check the RotoGrinders Starting Goalies Page page prior to game time, to confirm that the goalies listed below are starting.
Ben Bishop, Dallas Stars – Full disclosure, I am not a big fan of Ben Bishop, and I rarely look to roster him in any format, but on tonight’s short slate, he is the safest option in cash games. The Dallas Stars are the biggest favorite on the board tonight and with the Ottawa Senators both struggling to win games (8-19-5 record on the road), and score goals (sitting dead last in goals per game on the road), Bishop rises to the top of the cash game goalie list. The 6’7” Dallas Stars goaltender is unlikely to post the highest score of the evening, but he is a lock and load play if you are looking for security.
