PGA Cash Game Breakdown: Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship and WGC-Dell Match Play
Top-ranked grinder, Notorious, will break down his top cash game golf plays for the coming week’s tournament. Notorious has been nominated for the FSWA Golf Writer of the Year award and has quickly established himself as one of the brightest PGA DFS minds out there.
Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship
I am excited for this alternate tournament, mainly because we get to sweat two different tournaments in the same week. With that said, I’m not sure how predictable this is. We don’t have a ton of data on the course or on many of the golfers. If you can, I would scale back the bankroll a little bit this week. From a lineup construction standpoint, I will be avoiding all golfers under $7,000 this week, which makes me want to avoid the most expensive golfers in the field. I’m making two calculated fades this week that could easily come back to haunt me. The first is Patrick Rodgers. He doesn’t have the best approach game and he’s lost strokes off the tee in four straight tournaments. He’s been riding a hot putter, which is always scary. The second is Rafael Campos. We don’t see him often on the PGA Tour. He typically plays the Puerto Rico Open and then will play a few other events if he qualifies. Given the limited sample we have to work with and the fact that he’s going to be heavily owned, I don’t mind taking a fade stance against him.
