Lineup building feels a little too easy this week. While I don’t mind the golfers at the top of the salary range, I prefer the balanced approach given how deep this field is. Leishman feels like a great starting point. He has been in great form with five top ten finishes in his last seven events worldwide. He’s solid off the tee, good with his approach shots, and he generally plays difficult courses well. He’s also a good putter, which can’t be said about a number of the golfers listed in my picks this week. Leishman talks often about how much he loves Torrey Pines and he’s played well here in the last four years, posting a second and two top 30 finishes.
