PGA DFS: Bermuda Championship Round 2 Breakdown
Round 2 Targets
Before we get into the picks, we have to cover the weather for Friday’s round. Whether you are looking at the weather.com forecast or the windfinder.com forecast, you will see strong wind on tap for round two. We are going to have sustained wind around 20 MPH all day with gusts over 30 MPH. There’s not a huge difference in the wind strength between the AM and PM waves, but courses generally play a tad tougher in the afternoon to begin with. This is enough for me to fully fade the PM wave in showdown.
Round 2 LineupHQ w/Projections
Harold Varner: $10,400
There are only four golfers priced above $9,000 that tee off in the morning and Varner is easily the best of the bunch. If you are looking at long-term numbers, he’s likely the best golfer in the field and has more PGA Tour experience than most. He’s coming off of back-to-back top 30 finishes at the Safeway and the Shriners and now has top 30 finishes in four of his last five events. He said missing out on the Zozo Championship and CJ Cup motivated him to play better and be in those type of events next year. He has a solid all-around game and was able to shoot two-under par on Thursday despite hitting only 35% of the fairways.
