I went with the early stack in showdown and weekend contests and after my golfers were finished, I didn’t think I had much of a chance to cash. I was pleasantly surprised when I logged in and saw both cashing with ease. If you had Jon Rahm, it was hard to build a lineup that wasn’t going to cash. The only bogey he had came from a random penalty stroke from him picking up his ball on the green before he marked it. This course gets so tough in the afternoon that there is a huge edge for those going out early in the morning.

Our strategy has to change a bit for the fourth and final round, as finishing position points are awarded. With very few birdies to be had on the course, those finishing points are even more important. There will still be major changes on the leaderboard, but we need exposure to the golfers that we think will finish at the top. I will still take a few chances on golfers going out early, but will also be targets a few golfers that I think can either win or finish in the top five. I ultimately expect the optimal lineup to feature a mix of both.
