Sanderson Farms Championship
Greetings, Grinders! Just like last week, we have an even that usually doesn’t shine under its own bright lights. The Sanderson Farms Championship is usually held alongside a WGC event or a major, but the 2020 schedule changes have allowed this event to be held as a standalone tournament. We still have a weak field for this tournament, but it is a bit stronger than what we saw a week ago for the Corales.
As for this week’s host course, Country Club of Jackson is a moderate length par 72, but it shouldn’t play as a difficult venue. In fact, the winning score has checked in at 16-under par or better in each of the last nine editions of the event — and that is with a generally weak field competing every year. Ball striking and birdie opportunities will be the name of the game, and this is another potential birdie fest that could turn into a putting contest. We do get some good news this week with the return of live ShotLink data, as well!
