Welcome to the GPP breakdown for the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoff series! The top 125 golfers in the standings have qualified for this event, but Sam Burns (injury), Paul Casey (electing not to play), and Henrik Stenson (electing not to play) are sitting this one out. That leaves us with 122 golfers in the field. The top 70 and ties will make the cut, and this will be our last “cut” event of the season. The next two weeks will feature fields trimmed to 70 golfers for the BMW and 30 golfers for the Tour Championship.
