The PLAYERS Championship

Hey, Grinders! Welcome to the GPP breakdown for The PLAYERS Championship. It is commonly known as the ‘fifth major’ — but it’s actually the first one to be played this year. With the new PGA Tour schedule changes, this tournament got moved from May to March, and that’s not insignificant news. Let’s take a look at how that could impact this tournament.

In general, ball striking is the name of the game at TPC Sawgrass, which is the host course for this event. Sawgrass is a relatively short par 72 course at just under 7,200 yards on the scorecard, but it will play a bit longer than usual thanks to the cooler March weather.
