WGC – Fed Ex St. Jude Invitational

Welcome back, golf fans! Last week was certainly an interesting event with the Olympic Golf Tournament, with Xander Schauffele bringing home the gold medal for Team USA. Rory Sabbatini rode a 10-under par Sunday round to a silver medal, while there was a massive playoff for the bronze. It was a fun tournament, and now we have a lot of those golfers teeing it up again this week back stateside in Memphis, Tennessee.

Things should get back to normal this week with a strong field and a no cut World Golf Championships event. We have just 66 golfers teeing it up, and all will get to play four rounds barring a withdrawal. As for the course, TPC Southwind is the venue this week. This is yet another course where I will place an emphasis on ball striking and approach play, as we have only two par fives available on this moderate length par 70 track. There are a lot of tough par fours on this course, so I will look at par four scoring as a key component of my lineup building process as well.
