Links courses tend to be sensitive to the wind. How much is the PGA weather factoring into your process?
Notorious: I usually LOVE to build stacks on both sides of the draw at this event (and The Open Championship), but the current forecast calls for less than 10-mph gusts on both Thursday and Friday. I’ll continue to keep an eye on the weather, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a major impact this week.
stlcardinals84: This is absolutely something that we need to monitor, but the current forecast looks to be about as pedestrian as it gets in Scotland at this time of the year. Barring a forecast change, I’m building my lineups without using this as a factor.
Jbails26: If there are high winds, this definitely should be factored into your process. As of Monday afternoon, it seems like the winds will be mild, but if that changes, I’ll make the proper adjustments to my player pool. I’ll be keeping an eye on Kevin Roth’s weather analysis up until the slate locks.
hondizzle: On a normal week, I would not give much thought to the weather. The next two weeks, the weather could absolutely play a role in the tournament. Pay close attention to possible tee time edges, and don’t be afraid to stack both sides of a tee time wave.
