PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for the World Wide Technology Championship
Who is your favorite golfer for cash games?
Notorious: Doug Ghim
stlcardinals84: Ben Griffin
JBails26: Doug Ghim
hondizzle: Max Greyserman
Who is your favorite contrarian golfer (when considering price, key stats, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Keith Mitchell – Everyone was rushing to play him above $10,000 and bet him at +2000 a few weeks ago. After two missed cuts in a row, nobody wants to target him at a cheaper price point and better outright odds. He’s one of the best drivers of the ball in the field and is 4th in Strokes Gained: Approach over the last 12 months. He’s also 1st in Birdie or Better % over the last 6 months. We now have a chance to target him on a course with wide fairways and huge greens. His distance should be a significant advantage (especially on the par 5s), and his iron play will come in handy on all of the holes.
stlcardinals84: Henrik Norlander – One missed cut is going to have everyone off the Swedish golfer as a value play, and that’s just fine by me. He had a poor second round at the Shriners a couple of weeks ago but otherwise had a stretch with five top-30 finishes in his seven previous starts. Over the last 36 rounds, he ranks 16th in this field in approach play and 18th in ball striking. He’s going to give himself plenty of birdie looks, he’s very affordable, and he’s definitely going to be owned in the single digits once again.

JBails26: Erik van Rooyen – He projects as a decent value but not a slam-dunk value, so that should help keep his ownership in check when the cards flip over. EVR doesn’t stand out in any single metric, but he does rank 9th in my mixed condition model on the Rabbit Hole from Betsperts Golf – because he ranks adequate in a lot of the metrics I am weighing.
hondizzle: Daniel Berger – After a long break from golf due to injury, Berger is now healthy and appears to be on the right track to being a top player on TOUR. That may sound like a stretch, but after listening to his coach, Mark Blackburn, speak at a golf coaches conference last week, I am sold on Berger returning to his old form. Team Berger has redone his golf swing to allow for pain-free play. I love the work they have done on his swing and really hope to cash in on a buy-low spot before the masses catch on to where his game is hopefully headed.
