Who are your three favorite golfers starting the day T15 or worse that you think could move up the leaderboard?

Notorious: 1. Tyrrell Hatton 2. Joaquin Niemann 3. Byeong Hun An
stlcardinals84: 1. Joaquin Niemann 2. Jon Rahm 3. Daniel Berger
Jbails26: 1. Davis Thompson 2. Tom Hoge 3. Jordan Spieth
hondizzle: 1. Jordan Spieth 2. Harris English 3. Davis Thompson

Who is your top contrarian golfer (when considering price, key stats, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Joaquin Niemann – Other than Bryson DeChambeau, none of the LIV golfers will garner much ownership on Sunday. I certainly wouldn’t go as far as Mickelson in saying Niemann is the best golfer in the world, but he’s certainly capable of being a top-10 golfer in the world. He’s struck the ball well through the first 3 rounds and finally put together a solid round on Saturday. I like his chances of finishing in the top 10 at low ownership.

stlcardinals84: Jon Rahm – Most people will focus their top spends on the golfers at the top of the leaderboard like Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Scottie Scheffler. Expensive golfers who are down the leaderboard always go underowned in final round Showdown. While Rahm is not in the mix to win the tournament, a strong final day could still see him move up around the top 10, and that would be enough to make him optimal if he is making a lot of birdies.

Jbails26: Tom Hoge – Tom Hoge is my favorite pivot off Byeong Hun An in GPPs at the same price point. Hoge’s irons have been on fire thus far, ranking 4th in the field in Strokes Gained: Approach this week. If he can keep that up heading into Round 4, then hopefully he can gain some placing bonuses along the way.

hondizzle: Scottie Scheffler – I think the high price tag will make it hard for most to add Scottie Scheffler to builds. People will want Rory McIlroy or Bryson DeChambeau, making it hard to get to the defending champion. For that reason, rosters with Scottie should be very different. Scheffler has as much upside as anyone in the field.

Who is your top overall golfer (when considering price, key stats, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Rory McIlroy – As long as he gets off to a decent start, I think he’ll run away with this on Sunday. He’s miles ahead of everyone else when it comes to Strokes Gained: Ball Striking and Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, while Bryson DeChambeau has been fortunate on and around the greens. I’m locking in Rory on Sunday.

stlcardinals84: Rory McIlroy – If he plays like he did on Friday and Saturday, nobody is beating him. Rory has had his share of Sunday issues at majors throughout the years, but he is playing elite golf this week. If not for a handful of mistakes on Thursday’s back 9, he’d be ahead by around 5 or 6 strokes already. I don’t see any way to fade him. He sits at -200 to win right now.

Jbails26: Rory McIlroy – I was very high on Rory heading into this week, so I’ll continue to ride this out heading into the final round. He leads the field in both Strokes Gained: Approach and Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green this week.

hondizzle: Rory McIlroy – Fingers crossed this is finally the time that McIlroy can put the career Grand Slam in the record books. Rory is playing well this week through the bag. The only thing that could keep him from a win is the pressure of winning.

What is your typical Round 4 Showdown strategy? How will you implement that for the Masters?

Notorious: We are going to need those finishing position points for DFS, but remember that they aren’t guaranteed. There are going to be some guys in the top 10 who finish outside of the top 20 and vice-versa. I’m planning to include 3-4 golfers in the top 10 and 2-3 golfers outside the top 10 in each build.

stlcardinals84: Make sure to take 1 or 2 golfers who sit outside the top 25 heading into the final round. The difference in finish position points from 6th place to 15th place (for example) is not THAT significant. If a golfer moves up from T25 to T10, he is going to score better than a golfer who is in 5th place to start the day and moves down a little bit. I especially like doing this with golfers who are priced up a bit, with players like Rahm and Niemann being my favorites this time around.

Jbails26: My typical Round 4 GPP strategy involves rostering 1-2 golfers outside the top 15 along with at least 2 golfers in the top 10. My main targets outside the top 15 will be Tom Hoge, Davis Thompson, and Jordan Spieth.

hondizzle: I think most casual players will open up the DK app and look to stack players with decent salaries located in the top 15. I usually want less exposure to those type of golfers. I also like to make sure that if I use a popular value play, I offset that move with a lower-owned golfer. For example, you could pair Max Homa with someone like Justin Thomas.

What is your hot take for Round 4?

Notorious: Rory McIlroy wins while Bryson DeChambeau drops out of the top 4.

stlcardinals84: Justin Rose shoots a final round of 80 and slides outside the top 25.

Jbails26: Tom Hoge finishes in the top 5.

hondizzle: Bryson DeChambeau is over par and not in the mix.
