PGA DFS Round 4 Showdown Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for the Masters

Who is your top contrarian golfer (when considering price, key stats, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: I love final round showdown contests, especially in majors. There’s going to be a ton of movement on the leaderboard, yet everyone in the top 15 is going to be extremely popular. It’s a great slate to target talented golfers down the leaderboard. I’m writing this before ownership projections have been released, but I expect Will Zalatoris to fly under the radar. He’s not exactly cheap, and he didn’t have great form coming into the event. However, he had incredible ball-striking numbers in Round 3 and absolutely loves Augusta National. I like his chances of finishing in the top 10.

STLCardinals84: Si Woo Kim – He was a popular play in week-long contests, but we know that players often go underowned in Showdown when they are sitting down the leaderboard. Kim is a volatile golfer who will be playing with nothing to lose on Sunday, and the pOWN% will certainly be low with his score sitting at +7. He’s always capable of a hot round, and he will be teeing off early before the winds kick up.

hondizzle: Rory McIlroy- Masters winning pressure is over and Rory can go out and just play golf. He has more than enough talent to shoot a low round, and there will be very little interest in most to play McIlroy on Sunday.

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
