Who is your favorite golfer for cash games?
Notorious: Scottie Scheffler
stlcardinals84: Wyndham Clark
Jbails26: Wyndham Clark
hondizzle: Wyndham Clark
Who is your top overall golfer (when considering price, key stats, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
Notorious: Scottie Scheffler – Scheffler might be too far back to actually win this event, but I still think he has a good chance of ending up in the optimal lineup. Wyndham Clark has played well in the first 3 rounds, but it’s extremely tough playing with a lead that big. You tend to get conservative, which can lead to bogeys, and then they can start piling up. Scheffler played well on the back 9 Saturday and is set to make a run on Sunday.
stlcardinals84: Sahith Theegala – On a pure scoring basis, this is Wyndham Clark. However, he will be massive chalk. I plan to be most overweight on Theegala, who has been striking the ball well all week. He leads the field in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green through 3 rounds and doesn’t break the bank.
Jbails26: Wyndham Clark – With his huge lead, it’s hard not to slot Clark in here. Despite his iron struggles on Saturday, he still had one of the better rounds of the day because of his putting and scrambling. Clark certainly has the ability to score even if his irons aren’t fully on point.
hondizzle: Wyndham Clark – Clark had several opportunities to let the round get away from him this afternoon, but he showed impressive resilience and managed his way through what could have been a very difficult stretch of golf. Playing alongside Scottie Scheffler tomorrow will bring plenty of attention and pressure, but Clark has already proven he can handle big moments. If he continues to drive the ball the way he has and maintains his composure, I believe he’ll be in complete control and cruise to victory.
