PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for the ZOZO Championship
Which useful trend or statistic stuck out most during your research?
Notorious: This is unlike most events we see on tour because it doesn’t have a cut. DFS players tend to build riskier lineups due to the fact that everyone is guaranteed to play four rounds, but I actually lean the other way. The safer builds have performed best for me over the years because four rounds from a bad golfer can really sink your lineups. As far as the course goes, it features very small greens. This places an emphasis on approach play and around the green play.
STLCardinals84: The weather forecast is interesting for this tournament. Heavy winds are expected to roll through in the two early rounds, with the second round being the most impactful. Keep a close eye on the forecast and the tee times for those two rounds. While there is no cut in this tournament, we could still see a weather edge opportunity present itself.
hondizzle: On a week where there are a few more desirable names to choose from in the upper price range, we also get a limited-field, no-cut event. On weeks such as this, I am forced to take a few more risks than I would if it were a full-field event with a 36-hole cut. There are lots of names in this week’s field that the majority of golf fans will have very little familiarity with. The edge this week could be spending some extra time to find out which of these golfers you think could make the difference. I also tend to put a bit more weight on how the guaranteed paycheck will play out for players that don’t normally get this type of opportunity. This week could be a life-changer for some of the lesser names in the field.
