Welcome back, Grinders! If you thought this was a week off from the golf DFS world, think again! We have big DFS contests out there for this international spectacle in Paris, and we are going to grind away and provide our usual DFS golf content this week!

We have a unique format, with 60 golfers from different countries assembled at Le Golf National in France for this event. There are no cash prizes for the golfers, but all of them will be competing feverishly for a top-three spot by Sunday afternoon.

Tool Highlights

Le Golf National is a course that has been used for premier events in the past. It has been a Ryder Cup host recently and has also been an annual stop on the DP World Tour for the French Open. Therefore, many of the European golf regulars will have experience at this venue. It is a challenging par 71 track with water in play on more than half of the holes. We will see some decently thick rough with some fescue, and the course generally plays to an average score over par.

I will be targeting good ball strikers and scramblers this week, as saving par when necessary will be of prime importance. I will also place some decent value on course history for those who have experience playing here. Be sure to check out our PGA DFS optimizer when creating your builds.

Let’s get to some of my favorite GPP picks for the week!

PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel GPP Breakdown for the International Golf Event

Rory McIlroy

FanDuel: $12,100

Is everyone suddenly forgetting about Rory McIlroy? He doesn’t seem to be getting the usual buzz this week almost solely because he had a horrible week in Scotland. It happens. McIlroy had finished 2nd and 4th in his two starts prior to that, and we know he is plenty comfortable playing on European soil. He finished third on this course the only previous time he played here (though it was back in 2016). We know his all-around game is capable of beating anyone in the world, and if his tee to green game shows up this week, he could very easily be a winner at much lower ownership than usual.
