PGA DFS GPP Breakdown: RBC Heritage
Long-time grinder, stlcardinals84, breaks down his top PGA DFS picks in various price ranges for this week’s tournament. Which golfers should you be targeting to try and take down the big DFS tournaments? Find out below!
How about THAT for a Masters golf tournament? Incredible stuff. That Sunday afternoon felt like riding about ten roller coasters in one day, and I can’t imagine the emotions for the players involved. I was having a hard time keeping up from the couch!
Rory McIlroy eventually got the job done to win his first green jacket and complete the career grand slam, and I am super happy for him. It was a well deserved reward for his dedication to the PGA TOUR over the last few years. Somehow, we need to find a way to move forward to the next tournament.
While the week after a major usually offers a bit of a letdown, that is not the case this week, as we have an “elevated event” with a no-cut tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links. This brings us a strong field with a lot of golfers who also played last week. I also love Harbour Town. Personally, it’s my favorite course design on the PGA TOUR, so this week should still be a lot of fun despite the “Masters hangover” that we all might have.

The beautiful Harbour Town Golf Links is located in Hilton Head, South Carolina. This is a classic tight, tree-lined par 71 course. The average measured distance of all the drives at this event is generally around 270-275 yards, showing that this is a course that values accuracy and shot placement more than hammering the ball off the tee. We don’t get to say this all that often with the current state of the courses that are used on the PGA TOUR, but accuracy matters at this place. They have lengthened a couple of the par 5s a little bit, but those holes will still be reachable in 2 for golfers who hit good tee shots. This is a “thinking person’s” golf course that will come down to getting in position off the tee and hitting good approach shots.
As I mentioned above, given the tight, tree-lined nature of the course, finding fairways and being solid on approach are paramount to success at Harbour Town. However, this course also has some of the smallest greens that we see on the PGA TOUR. Therefore, this event always carries one of the lowest green-in-regulation percentages. That adds scrambling into the mix of important stats. I’ll be targeting golfers who are elite on approach and elite scramblers, though I don’t hate mixing in a few bigger hitters as risk/reward GPP options. Also, don’t be afraid to take some chances on a few lower-owned golfers in your GPP builds since this is an event that does not carry a cut.
Let’s move along and get to some of my favorite GPP picks for this week!
PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel GPP Breakdown for the RBC Heritage
Collin Morikawa
DraftKings: $10,900
FanDuel: $12,200
As much as Scottie Scheffler feels like he SHOULD be the top option this week, it’s just too difficult to justify when you consider that he hasn’t won yet in 2025 and is still priced at $14,000 on FanDuel and over $13,000 on DraftKings. That’s just too much of a premium. The discount down to Morikawa makes a big difference, and you really couldn’t ask for a better course fit for a player who is able to dial in the irons to small greens as much as Morikawa can. Morikawa finished 9th here a year ago, he’s in fine form, and he’s my pick to win. He leads this field in ball striking and approach play over the last 24 rounds, and those skills are going to play just fine.
