PGA DFS GPP Breakdown: The RSM Classic

Long-time grinder, stlcardinals84, breaks down his top PGA DFS picks in various price ranges for this week’s tournament. Which golfers should you be targeting to try and take down the big DFS tournaments? Find out below!
Welcome back, golf DFS fans! This will represent our final week together for the 2025 calendar year, as the brief winter break arrives after this event. This gives us one last chance to make some golf money this year, but it also makes me a bit sad, as I am coming off my best DFS golf week in several months. In any case, there’s nothing I can do about the calendar. As they say, “It is what it is.”
The RSM Classic is on the table for us this to close out 2025, and we do have a solid field assembled when compared to most of the other fall swing tournaments. It should be a fun end to another crazy golf year.

As for The RSM Classic, this tournament will be played on two courses prior to the cut. That is necessary in order for the tournament to allow for a full field while still being able to finish the rounds during the limited daylight hours that we have at this time of year. The “host” Seaside Course will host both weekend rounds, while each player will play one round on the Plantation Course prior to the cut. Both courses are short at around 7,000 yards, while the Seaside Course is a par 70 and the Plantation Course is a par 72. Both courses tend to play relatively easy, averaging between 1-2 strokes under par per round depending on weather conditions. Wind is primarily the only defense at this venue, and the wind is supposed to be VERY calm this week. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw course records fall this weekend. It should be birdies galore out there.
Most golfers agree that this venue does not prioritize distance off the tee. Ball striking and approach play will once again be paramount, as is usually the case on shorter courses. Course history is also a bit of a bonus here, as the same golfers do tend to play well here quite often. Many PGA TOUR players tend to reside in this area also, and those players obviously will have a lot of familiarity with the two tracks that are being used.
Let’s dig in and try to close out the 2025 golf season with a bang with some GPP picks!
PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel GPP Breakdown for The RSM Classic
Rico Hoey
DraftKings: $9,800
FanDuel: $11,600

The old adage says, “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.” We can apply that on 2 levels with Hoey. On one hand, he realized that his putting WAS completely broken a few months ago, so he did fix it. He switched to a long putter, and his play on the greens has stabilized quite well since then. It’s hard to dial in specifics since we did not have ShotLink data in the last 2 tournaments, but Hoey is no longer a complete mess with the flat stick now. His tee to green play has been remarkable for almost 2 years now, and he leads this field in ball striking over almost any length of time you want to look at. Now that the results are spectacular, we can apply the adage in DFS. If you have been rostering Hoey throughout the fall swing, it has paid dividends. Don’t jump off the bandwagon yet. He is still playing for 2026 status and has been one of the most consistent players over the last 2 months. Ride the wave of success one more time.
