Welcome back, PGA DFS Grinders! After another week off, we are now headed down the stretch of the 2025 fall swing. There are just three more events to go before the December holiday break. Let’s try to make them count and make some money in DFS along the way!

Tool Highlights

As for the this week’s tournament, it will be held in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. El Cardonal at Diamonte will be the host for the third time. The venue is a traditional par 72 that is wide open off the tee, and the course is a Tiger Woods design. As was the case the first two years in which it hosted, I would expect favorable scoring conditions and a setup that caters to scorers and those that have length off the tee — just as Tiger Woods was throughout his career. The course averaged nearly 2 strokes under par per round a year ago, and that was even with strong winds in the first round. In prime scoring conditions the previous year, the course averaged nearly 3 strokes under par per round. Wind is the main defense the course has to offer, and the weather is expected to be beautiful this week. As such, we should see plenty of birdies and eagles.

I will be targeting driving distance, par 5 scoring, and birdie or better percentage as key statistical elements. Of course, strong current form is also a nice feather in the cap, and I will also start to consider course history a little bit now that we have two years of history to look back on.

Let’s dig in and check out some of my favorite GPP picks!

PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel GPP Breakdown for the World Wide Technology Championship

Rico Hoey
DraftKings: $10,000
FanDuel: $10,900

PGA Golfer Rico Hoey

I have featured Hoey in my GPP articles several times during the fall swing. If you have read those, you know that I am more confident with his play on the green now that he has switched to the long putter. He actually GAINED almost a full stroke putting at the Bank of Utah Championship, and he finished in 2nd place. That’s what is going to happen with him. If he just becomes an average putter, he is more than capable of being a top-20 player on the PGA TOUR and a top-10 player at his ceiling. If he becomes above average with the putter, he could be elite. He leads this field in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee and in ball striking over the last 36 rounds, and the putter is no longer a massive liability. He’s one of the favorites again this week.
