PGA DFS GPP Breakdown: PGA Championship
Long-time grinder, stlcardinals84, breaks down his top PGA DFS picks in various price ranges for this week’s tournament. Which golfers should you be targeting to try and take down the big DFS tournaments? Find out below!
Welcome back, golf Grinders! We have the season’s second major on tap with the PGA Championship this week. For whatever reason, the PGA Championship gets a bad reputation as the “least exciting” of the major championships, but it’s always exciting when there is a lot of money to be won in DFS!
There are plenty of healthy GPP prize pools out there, so we will try to find some win-worthy picks in this article. Good luck in seeking out that big payday!
Editor’s Note: RotoGrinders has partnered with Betsperts Golf and the Rabbit Hole!

As for this year’s PGA Championship, Quail Hollow in North Carolina will be the host venue. Ironically, Quail Hollow usually hosts the tournament that was played LAST week, but it had this year off in order to prepare for the PGA Championship. The PGA Championship was contested here back in 2017, with Justin Thomas coming away with the hardware that year. In addition, we can look at the Truist / Wells Fargo Championship for some previous course history data (outside of 2017 when it hosted the PGA and 2022 when it hosted the Presidents Cup).
Many renovations were done in preparation for major championship golf back in 2017, so this course is playing with more bite as a lengthy par 71 layout. Driving distance and strokes gained off the tee are very important at this event, and multiple golfers are on record stating how important off-the-tee game is here. There are a lot of long par 4s, so I will also look at players who are good with their mid-to-long irons. You need to be long, and you need to be in the fairway. If you are neither, you are in trouble. I will be prioritizing strong current form and the bombers this week.
Let’s take a look at some of my favorite GPP options!
PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings GPP Breakdown for the PGA Championship
Jon Rahm
DraftKings: $10,200
FanDuel: $11,900
Of course, I have no qualms about starting lineups with Rory McIlroy or Scottie Scheffler. We all know that they have been the clear top golfers in the world in 2025. It’s easy to forget about all the LIV golfers except for Bryson DeChambeau, as DeChambeau still gets plenty of media attention and was in contention at the Masters.
Enter Jon Rahm. While Rahm hasn’t made as much noise in the majors of late, Quail Hollow is a fine golf course for his game to shine. Rahm is plenty long off the tee, and he generally excelled on the longer, more difficult tracks when he was playing on the PGA TOUR. He is going to fly under the radar with everyone looking to pay up for Scheffler, McIlroy, and/or DeChambeau, and it’s not like he has been playing “poor” golf, with top-10 finishes in every LIV event in 2025 so far. I do like a fair amount of the LIV golfers on this track, with Rahm being my favorite GPP option.
