DP World Tour DFS GPP Breakdown: Omega European Masters
Top-ranked grinder, STLCardinals84, will break down his top PGA DFS picks in various price ranges for this week’s tournament. Which golfers should you be targeting to try and take down the big DFS tournaments? Find out below.
Hello, golf fans! We are bringing in the month of September with… some coverage of European golf? That’s right! The PGA Tour just wrapped up its season last week, and the golf calendar will be fairly quiet leading up to the Ryder Cup at the end of the month. DraftKings has surprised us with some huge GPP contests for this week’s Omega European Masters, so we’re going to bring you the usual GPP article here on RotoGrinders.
As usual, this tournament will be hosted by the Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre, which sounds like a fantastic place to play golf. The course is very short and does not reward aggressive play off the tee very much. It is tight and tree-lined, and approach/wedge play is going to be the key to success. The course measures just over 6,800 yards, and it plays shorter than that due to the elevation changes. In addition, I will give priority to golfers that have shown success at this tricky venue in the past. Take the golfers that know how to find fairways and greens and tend to stay out of trouble.
Let’s take a look at some of my favorite GPP plays for this European Tour event!

Matt Fitzpatrick
DraftKings: $10,900
Fitzpatrick is one of the only real “household” names from the PGA Tour that you may recognize in this field, but he’s no stranger to playing in Europe. In addition, courses like these are ones that he often fancies himself playing well at. We know that Harbour Town is one of his favorite courses on American soil, and it’s similarly tight off the tee like this one is. While he hasn’t played here in a few years, he does have a pair of wins in both 2017 and 2018 at Crans-sur-Sierre. He comes in with solid form after finishing T2 and T9 in the final two PGA Tour playoff events. I am somewhat concerned about the jet lag factor, but I love the potential — and there’s enough value to where you can get him in your lineups comfortably.
