PGA DFS GPP Breakdown: World Wide Technology Championship
Top-ranked grinder, STLCardinals84, will break down his top PGA DFS picks in various price ranges for this week’s tournament. Which golfers should you be targeting to try and take down the big DFS tournaments? Find out below.
Welcome back, golf fans! We are headed down the stretch of the 2022 fall swing, with just three more events in play before the December holiday break. Let’s try to make them count and make some money in DFS!
As for the this week’s tournament in Mexico, El Cardonal at Diamonte will be the host for the first time. As such, we can largely throw out course history as a statistical element this week. The new venue is a traditional par 72 layout that is wide open off the tee, and the course is a Tiger Woods design. While we are doing some guesswork with this, I am expecting favorable scoring conditions and a setup that caters to scorers and those that have length off the tee — just as Tiger Woods was in his career. I will therefore be targeting driving distance, par five scoring, and birdie or better percentage as key statistical elements. Of course, strong current form is also a big plus.
Let’s get to some of my favorite PGA DFS tournament picks of the week!
PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel GPP Breakdown for the World Wide Technology Championship
Ludvig Aberg
DraftKings: $11,200
FanDuel: $12,000
Yahoo: $46
Aberg won’t be at any course history disadvantage this week, and he has already shown that he is one of the top talents on the PGA Tour. In his last three PGA Tour starts, he has finished 14th, 2nd and 13th, and his performance was also key in Europe’s dominant Ryder Cup victory. He’s plenty long off the tee and should absolutely dominate with scoring opportunities in this setup. The weaker field makes spending up at the top more of a priority, and Aberg is my #1 golfer by a fairly wide margin this week.
