PGA DFS Tournament Breakdown: PGA Championship

Long-time grinder, stlcardinals84, breaks down his top PGA DFS tournament picks in various price ranges on DraftKings & FanDuel for the PGA Championship. Which golfers should you be targeting to try and take down the big DFS tournaments? Find out below!
Welcome back, PGA DFS grinders! We have yet another important event this week, with the PGA Championship on the docket as the second major of the year. This often feels like the “least” exciting of the golf majors, but it doesn’t mean that there’s any less money to be won. We still have a lot of DFS money up for grabs!
The venue for this major championship is Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA, which is just west of Philadelphia. This course has hosted PGA TOUR events before, notably the 2010 and 2011 editions of the Quicken Loans National and the 2018 BMW Championship. However, it has been almost 8 years since we have last seen it in active competition, so I would caution against drawing too many conclusions from results that are that old. In short, course history really doesn’t come into the equation at all this week.
What does come into the equation is ball striking. The rough is going to be thick in spots around this course, and we want guys who can get it from tee to green with precision. The par 3s at Aronimink are no small test, with three of the four checking in at 200+ yards. It is likely that those three holes will play as the most difficult holes on the course. Also, for a par-70 course, this one resides on the longer side, and long-iron play is going to be absolutely pivotal to success at this venue. I will be looking at Ball Striking, Approach Play: 175-200 yards, and Approach Play: 200+ yards as my key statistical measures, while Total Driving is also important so that we target golfers who are either long off the tee or good at keeping it in the fairway (or both!).
Now, let’s move along and check out some of my favorite tournament plays.
PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Tournament Breakdown for the PGA Championship
Jon Rahm
DraftKings: $10,400
FanDuel: $11,900

It does seem like Rahm is a bit disinterested at times when he is playing golf these days, but I think much of that is due to him not feeling the same competitive vibes on the LIV Tour. I feel like he regrets how that has all gone down, but it’s not like his game is a disaster. After all, Rahm hasn’t finished worse than 8th in any LIV event in 2026. I think many will avoid him this week simply because he was a relative disappoint at Augusta last month, where he still managed to make the cut and post a top-40 finish despite playing some of his worst golf. I still think the ceiling is as high as any golfer not named Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy, and this is a key chance for Rahm to keep his world golf ranking status and quiet the doubters. He has always excelled more on difficult courses, and his game is theoretically a strong fit for this course. He’s a strong tournament spend.
