Welcome back, golf fans! It feels like deja vu writing the RBC Heritage the week after Rory McIlroy won the Masters… because that has now happened two years in a row! Congratulations to Rory on another big win. While the week after a major usually offers a DFS letdown, that is not the case this week. We have yet another “elevated event” with a no-cut tournament at Harbour Town Golf Links. This brings us a strong field with a lot of golfers who also played last week. I also really love Harbour Town. It’s my favorite course design on the PGA TOUR, so this week should still be a lot of fun despite the fact that the Masters is over.

The beautiful Harbour Town Golf Links is located in Hilton Head, South Carolina. This is a classic, tight, tree-lined par-71 course. The average measured distance of all the drives at this event is generally around 270-275 yards, showing that this is a course that values accuracy and shot placement more than hammering driver off the tee. We don’t get to say this all that often with the current courses that are used on the PGA TOUR, but accuracy matters at this place. It’s a big part of the reason why I love this tournament so much. This is a “thinking person’s” golf course that will come down to getting in position off the tee and hitting good approach shots.

As I mentioned above, given the tight, tree-lined nature of the course, finding fairways and being solid on approach are paramount to success at Harbour Town. However, this course also has some of the smallest greens that we see on the PGA TOUR. Therefore, this event always carries one of the lowest green-in-regulation percentages. That adds scrambling into the mix of important stats. I’ll be targeting golfers who are elite on approach and elite scramblers, though I don’t hate mixing in some longer hitters as risk/reward GPP options. Also, don’t be afraid to take some chances on a few lower-owned golfers in your GPP builds since this is an event that does not have a cut.

Let’s check out some of my favorite GPP picks for this week!

PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Tournament Breakdown for the RBC Heritage

Matt Fitzpatrick
DraftKings: $10,000
FanDuel: $11,800

PGA Golfer Fitzpatrick

Fitzpatrick loves Harbour Town. He will remind you of that every chance he gets. His early returns on his favorite course weren’t ideal, but he has conquered it recently with a top-5 finish in 2021 and a breakthrough victory in 2023. His ability to hit darts with his irons is a perfect fit, and there are no surprises when he says he loves the place. Over all the measured rounds in 2026, Fitzpatrick ranks behind only Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele in Strokes Gained: Approach. He is also very creative around the greens, which serves him well with the small complexes at Harbour Town. Fitzpatrick finished 2nd at THE PLAYERS, won the Valspar Championship, and logged a respectable T18 at the Masters. All the signs are positive as we head into his favorite venue, and I like starting GPP lineups with him this week.
