PGA DFS Value Plays: Travelers Championship
Micah Bedard (Darddog) is here to pinpoint the best PGA DFS salary savers for this week’s Travelers Championship.
Hats off to Wyndham Clark for winning the U.S. Open for his first major this last weekend at the Los Angeles Country Club. If you would have told me a few years ago he would win a major, let alone a U.S. Open, I would have called you crazy. I had zero in DFS, so it wasn’t tilting at all to watch him save almost everything on Sunday to hold off Rory by one stroke.
Let me also say that the environment at LACC was complete garbage and I hope they never have a U.S. Open there again.
It was a good week for my value plays, as five of the six made the cut and Russell Henley and Denny McPutts both finished T-20.
Now for some reason, all of the stars will fly across the country to play in an elevated event at the Travelers Championship this week. I bet they are thrilled.
TPC River Highlands hosts this event, and is a short 6,800 Par 70 course. Expect scoring to be pretty good, especially with this being the strongest field it has ever seen. I don’t think there’s an exact recipe for who does well here, so don’t tie yourself down to focusing on a certain type of player.
Let’s dive into some value plays under $7,500 on DK and $9,000 on FD to give your lineups an edge this week at the Travelers.
