PGA DFS: Round 4 Showdown Picks & Projections - Masters

PGA golfer Bryson DeChambeau

PGA DFS Round 4 Showdown Picks and Projections – Masters

We had a star-studded leaderboard heading into Saturday, and the third round didn’t disappoint. Rory McIlroy got off to a blazing start, shooting 5-under in his first 5 holes. He gave a couple back in the middle of his round but finished with a strong back 9. He leads by 3 heading into the final round. This feels like the year he finally breaks through and wins the career grand slam. It should be a great Sunday, as he’s paired with Bryson DeChambeau.

As for DFS strategy, finishing position points will likely rule the day. However, there will be a handful of golfers who put together big rounds and move way up the leaderboard. My lineups will likely feature 3-4 golfers currently in the top 10 and 2-3 golfers who are down the leaderboard. Once again, it looks like a fantastic day of weather ahead.

Top-End Targets

Rory McIlroy: $11,600 – Every lineup that I build on Sunday will start with Rory or Bryson. Each of the last 8 winners of the Masters have come from the final group, and it feels very improbable that they both collapse on Sunday. McIlroy leads the field in ball striking and strokes gained tee to green. If he can get off to a good start, I think he’ll cruise to the win.

Bryson DeChambeau: $10,400 – Given the fact that he’s down 2 shots, Bryson will come into Sunday being the aggressor. He was able to beat Rory at the U.S. Open last year, so he’ll feel good about his chances on Sunday. His ball striking has not been great this week, but his short game has been elite.

Xander Schauffele: $9,200 – With so many stars and spends at the very top of the leaderboard, Schauffele could fly under the radar on Sunday. He has put together 2 solid rounds in a row and has been one of the best ball strikers in the field. While he can’t win, he can easily pay off his price point if he finishes in the top 5.

Value Plays

Davis Thompson: $6,800 – Even though this is his first Masters, he’s played extremely well through the first 3 rounds. His ball striking is solid, he’s been good around the greens, and the putting hasn’t given him any issues. He’s long off the tee and an excellent scrambler, so it’s not a huge surprise to see him playing so well.

Byeong Hun An: $6,700 – An made a big move up the leaderboard on Saturday and sits just outside the top 20. His putter hasn’t exactly been cooperating, but we love our bad putters at Augusta National. He’s a bomber off the tee who finished T16 here last year. I love his price point for Round 4.
