PGA DFS: Shriners Open Round 4 Breakdown

Round 4 Targets
Before we get into the picks, I wanted to make a quick note. My showdown model includes in-tournament data and heavily weighs current odds to win as well as ball striking statistics. For Saturday’s round, I made the mistake of relying too heavily on the ball striking numbers from the first two days. Dylan Frittelli didn’t rate out as a great play in the model, but I forced him into lineups even though that data was already factored into his projection. It’s always important to tweak your DFS strategy and recognize faults in your process. I also noticed a few golfers missing from the projections. They have been added for the fourth and final round.
As for Sunday’s round, pristine weather is expected all day. Finishing position points don’t matter quite as much when we have birdie-fests on our hands, so don’t be afraid to targets golfers down the leaderboard a bit. They naturally come at suppressed ownership and will only need an extra birdie or two in order to make up the positional difference on the leaderboard.
