Houston Open
Welcome back everyone! This week has quickly turned into a “plug your nose” kind of week. I mentioned this on the FGB Podcast but if you can disconnect a bit from historical pricing on certain players you will fare much better this week. I won’t go into the analogy I used on the pod but essentially, these players’ prices reflect their ability to reach value. Since this field is overall very weak, the increased price tags is making up for that. Don’t let it get in your heads. Just because Daniel Berger is $2900 more than he was 2 weeks ago doesn’t mean he isn’t worth the increase.
Overall, this course is pretty demanding off the tee and many will seek to lay back in order to avoid the water and fairway bunkers sprinkled throughout the course. A balanced approach this week in terms of recent form and some course history will serve you best. This is a bit tougher week to find values so here are my top options.
